UNHCR | Humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan

Help Afghan families survive winter

The people of Afghanistan are in the grip of one of the world’s worst crises.

The newest wave of conflict – the latest in 40 years – forced over 700,000 people from their homes. Ongoing drought, economic crisis, and natural disasters like earthquakes are shattering already devastated communities while fighting and bombings still wrack parts of the country.

And now families face a brutal winter.

Many displaced families lack sturdy shelters to protect them from the elements, basic items like blankets, and cash for essentials like food and medicine.

Your help is urgently needed this Giving Tuesday. You can help give people displaced inside Afghanistan the life-saving support they need to survive the freezing weather.

Please donate now. #WarmTheirHearts

is enough to provide cash assistance to a displaced family in Afghanistan, to help them to buy heating fuel and warm winter clothes

can provide a tent insulation kit to help keep a family warm in their shelter

can provide blankets to a whole family displaced within Afghanistan
