UNHCR | Cyclone in Mozambique | Support now
Mozambique is currently being affected by Tropical Storm Freddy, which has caused widespread devastation throughout the region. The storm has killed hundreds and caused flooding and widespread damage to homes and infrastructure across the Southern Africa region.
Nearly half a million people are estimated to have been affected in Mozambique by flooding in mid-February and Cyclone Freddy, which has hit the country twice in the past few weeks. They include thousands of displaced people who had already fled violence from Cabo Delgado province in northern Mozambique.
UNHCR and partner organisations are on the ground rushing to provide lifesaving support and protection, such as shelter materials, core relief items, and psychosocial first aid.
But the needs are growing and we cannot stop this spiral of vulnerability alone.
We need your help TODAY.
Please donate today to help those who lost everything. Your support will help us provide vital assistance to those who need it most.
