Other ways to give

As the conflict continues to rage in Sudan, hundreds of thousands of people continue to flee in desperate need of safety and protection.

As the conflict continues to rage in Sudan, hundreds of thousands of people continue to flee in desperate need of safety and protection.

The situation in Sudan remains alarming, with limited humanitarian access and reports of human rights abuses against refugees, including allegations of theft, threats, and physical and sexual violence

Your support is urgently needed to help those who are caught up in the deadly violence.

Since the fighting and conflict began in Sudan on 15 April 2023, over 3.9 million people, mostly women and children, have been displaced within Sudan and to neighboring countries of Sudan, Chad, South Sudan, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the Central African Republic. This number could rise even further if the fighting does not stop.

UNHCR is on the ground throughout the region, meeting refugees after their long journeys and providing them with life-saving support – shelter, safety, and basic supplies. But as more and more people are being forced to flee Sudan each day, we need your help to scale up our response and meet the rapidly escalating needs.

All of Sudan’s neighboring countries impacted by this new emergency already have large existing refugee and displaced populations. They are also underfunded and in dire need of resources to support this new influx of people. We cannot do this without you.
