Football is more than a game for refugees. Right now, 110 million people are displaced by conflicts or disasters like the war in Ukraine. Football gives refugee children the chance to run, laugh, play and dream.

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, uses sport programs to empower refugees who have been forced to flee their homes – especially children and young people.

Sport provides a sense of normalcy in a situation that’s far from normal.
