HELP SYRIAN FAMILIES SURVIVE WINTER
Families that are returning home are returning to destroyed homes and a country battered by nearly 14 years of war and economic crises. An estimated 90 percent of the population lives in poverty, and even before the latest escalation, 7.2 million people were internally displaced by conflict.
In Jordan, which hosts many Syrian refugee families, 80% of refugees are unable to meet essential expenses to survive. Shelter, food, medicine, and education are urgently needed. Children are the hardest hit: many of them cannot finish school and are at risk of exploitation and child labor.
Now winter has hit, and families are also battling the cold. UNHCR, The UN Refugee Agency, is on the ground, providing critical support where it’s needed most. We are committed to staying and delivering for people forced to flee—providing core relief items, legal assistance, and psychological support.
But we need your help to reach even more people with urgent aid.
