Education is the key to empowerment for refugee children and youth, giving them the knowledge and skills to live productive, fulfilling, and independent lives. But right now just 3% of refugee youth have access to higher education.

The DAFI scholarship programme is designed to support each refugee student with a modest but decent standard of living which meets their basic needs, allowing them to focus on and complete their tertiary studies. However, due to the high number of applications, only a limited number of refugees are able to enter the DAFI programme each year, many passionate and committed young people are currently denied the opportunity to pursue their studies. This is why your support is so important.

By funding the DAFI scholarship programme, you will help to cover a wide range of costs including tuition fees, study materials, food, transportation, accommodation, and other day-to-day expenses.

• A gift of HK$1,550 could cover the cost of books and uniforms for one student for an entire school year
• A gift of HK$3,650 could cover the cost of travel and housing for one student for an entire school year
• A gift of HK$6,950 could cover university tuition fees for one student for their final year of studies
• A gift of HK$10,250 could cover the essential education expenses of one student for an entire school year, this includes food, books, travel and housing
