EBOLA OUTBREAK IN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO
Families displaced by violence and refugees are facing a deadly Ebola outbreak in eastern DRC and across the border Uganda.
Families were already struggling due to ongoing conflict, with homes destroyed, and people fleeing with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
People forced to flee and the communities hosting them urgently need soap, hand sanitizer and access to healthcare to help prevent the transmission of this deadly disease.
We are scaling up prevention and awareness measures, as we have for previous disease outbreaks like Mpox, so that families have the information they need to help stop the spread — but more support is urgently needed.

HK$ 1,250 could provide four displaced people with a dignity kit containing sanitary napkins, underpants and soap.

We ensure that as many funds as possible are redirected to refugees, stateless persons and asylum-seekers. 85 per cent of all funds raised go directly to field operations. 7 per cent is allocated for global programmes, helping refugees, internally displaced people, asylum seekers and stateless people under the UNHCR mandate around the world, and 8 per cent is for headquarters administration.
