For children and youth uprooted by war or persecution, sport is much more than a leisure activity. It’s an opportunity to be included and protected – a chance to heal, develop and grow.
Sport can also be a positive catalyst for empowering refugee communities, helping to strengthen social cohesion and forge closer ties with host communities.
Your donation could help UNHCR to continue our sport for protection programme for the displaced people across the world. Make sure they have a chance to heal, learn and shine!
- HK$5,850 can provide sports gear, wear and kits for 15 refugee athletes in Kenya.
- HK$9,750 can support 25 refugees to take swimming lessons for a month in Uganda (including a coach, sports equipment and transportation expenses).
- HK$13,025 can procure and set up a volleyball pitch to be used for male and female competitions in Algeria.
