With the global spread of COVID-19, millions of the displaced are facing a challenge to protect oneself as their living places are over-crowding while essential facilities like clean water, sanitation and health services (WASH) fall short – which we know are important health precautions.

For example, for the 2.6 million internally displaced Afghans, they have lost and fled their homes for over 40 years, their access to resources and support is still very limited, not to mention the necessities to fight COVID-19. The disease causes extra hardship and threats to the vulnerable, heightening the demands for humanitarian assistance.
