During the winter months each year, people forced to flee are faced with increased hardships. They struggle each month to pay rent in inadequate accommodation and could hardly meet basic needs like heating, warm clothes and hot meals, as household expenses for these can skyrocket in the winter months. Around 14 million children are expected to suffer acute levels of malnutrition this winter.

Time is crucial. Temperatures are rapidly dropping, and the first snow could arrive at any moment. Your impact will be immediate, for vulnerable displaced people devastated by war, conflict, hunger and skyrocketing prices.

We ensure that as many funds as possible are redirected to refugees, stateless persons and asylum-seekers. 85 per cent of all funds raised go directly to field operations. 7 per cent is allocated for global programmes, helping refugees, internally displaced people, asylum seekers and stateless people under the UNHCR mandate around the world, and 8 per cent is for headquarters administration.
