Fearing for their lives and the lives of their families, thousands of children, women and men have been forced to flee – there are 1.7 million people displaced in Tigray, and thousands more in Sudan. Most people travelled with nothing, and many are without adequate shelter. More than 5.5 million people are threatened by hunger. UNHCR is on the ground – and we are needed more than ever.

Please help us meet needs and save lives.

Our teams are rapidly working to address the critical situation of forcibly displaced families with emergency shelter and core relief items like blankets, sleeping mats and jerry cans. But we need your support to scale up our supplies and get ready to respond as the situation worsens.
