Sudan, enduring over a year of relentless violence, now confronts one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises. Worsening famine conditions and a cholera outbreak have left millions, particularly children, in extreme vulnerability as access to essential services continues to dwindle. Famine and disease outbreaks are rapidly worsening the situation for displaced families.
Inside Sudan, refugees face dire conditions — limited resources, healthcare, and high prices for basics. Urgent needs include water, food, shelter, healthcare, cash assistance, core relief items and protection.
Your support is crucial to help us provide life-saving aid. Please join UNHCR in delivering emergency relief and protecting vulnerable refugees.
INR 2,855 provides a solar lantern to a household, improving safety and access to light after dark.

INR 11,393 could provide a heavy-duty plastic bucket to 6 refugee households to store water and for general household use in Sudan.
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization working to save lives, protect rights and build a better future for refugees, internally displaced communities and stateless people. We work to ensure that everybody has the right to seek asylum and find refuge from violence or persecution.
Your money helps UNHCR provide protection, shelter and other forms of assistance, and advocacy on behalf of displaced and stateless people every year. We ensure that as many funds as possible are redirected to refugees, stateless persons and asylum-seekers. UNHCR staff work as closely as possible with and for people forced to flee, with 90 per cent of our workforce in field locations. For further details on UNHCR's budget, read our Global Report.
