UNHCR | Ukraine Emergency
The destruction of the Kakhovka dam comes as a crisis on top of a crisis, and people in Ukraine need your help more than ever.
UNHCR and partners are on the ground, providing emergency shelter, relief items, and legal and psychological support. Continued full-scale war in the country means that people are losing their homes, livelihoods and their loved ones every day. To help those in need, we will stay and continue working in Ukraine and countries hosting refugees from Ukraine for as long as necessary.
But we cannot do it without you.
We rely on your generosity to continue providing essential, life-saving relief to people whose lives have been shattered by the war.
Please donate now.

With teams across Ukraine and in neighbouring countries hosting refugees from Ukraine, UNHCR is providing protection and humanitarian assistance, including emergency shelters, repairs for homes damaged by shelling, emergency cash assistance, and protection such as psychological support. Winter relief is also provided for displaced people in need as temperatures plummet, such as high thermal blankets.
We have stockpiles of aid already inside Ukraine and more life-saving items being shipped to neighbouring countries as we speak. We urgently need cash donations to help fulfill these supplies and to provide cash assistance directly to refugees from Ukraine and those who are displaced within the country so they can purchase the essentials they need. Your gift will make a huge difference in the life of a refugee or an internally displaced person. Our teams are on the ground right now working with forcibly displaced people and providing them with life-saving aid, shelter and protection support. For company donations please write to [email protected]
UNHCR is urgently upscaling emergency operations across Ukraine and in neighbouring countries to support people forced to flee the current crisis. Urgent needs include shelter, relief items such as blankets, sleeping mats, jerry cans to carry clean water, and protection services especially for those most vulnerable, such as unaccompanied and separate children, women and older people, who are the vast majority of those fleeing their homes.
If you have any questions about your donation or our work, then please contact us at [email protected], we promise to reply as soon as we can.
