100 days of war is 100 days too many.
One third of the population of Ukraine has been forced to flee in 100 days.
The Ukraine emergency is now the world’s largest human displacement crisis, with 14 million people forced to flee for their lives.
Inside Ukraine, many communities are cut off from water, heating, health care and other essentials. UNHCR estimates than more than 15.7 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance.
“I have spoken with women, with children, who have been gravely affected by this war,” said Filippo Grandi, UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
“Forced to flee extraordinary levels of violence, they have left behind their homes and often their families, leaving them shocked and traumatised. The protection and humanitarian needs are enormous, and continue to grow.”
Please donate now to help the people of Ukraine in their time of need.
With your support, UNHCR can provide:
- Safe shelter for families whose homes have been destroyed
- Thermal blankets and sleeping mats for people staying at reception centres
- Cash assistance to help refugee mums buy food for their children
- Protection services for the most vulnerable, such as unaccompanied children, single mothers, and people with disabilities
Thank you for standing with the people of Ukraine. We will keep you posted on the latest developments and the impact of your donation.
How would you like to donate?
With teams across Ukraine and in neighbouring countries hosting refugees from Ukraine, UNHCR is providing protection and humanitarian assistance, including emergency shelters, repairs for homes damaged by shelling, emergency cash assistance, and protection such as psychological support. Winter relief is also provided for displaced people in need as temperatures plummet, such as high thermal blankets.
We have stockpiles of aid already inside Ukraine and more life-saving items being shipped to neighbouring countries as we speak. We urgently need cash donations to help fulfill these supplies and to provide cash assistance directly to refugees from Ukraine and those who are displaced within the country so they can purchase the essentials they need. Your gift will make a huge difference in the life of a refugee or an internally displaced person. Our teams are on the ground right now working with forcibly displaced people and providing them with life-saving aid, shelter and protection support. UNHCR is urgently upscaling emergency operations across Ukraine and in neighbouring countries to support people forced to flee the current crisis. Urgent needs include shelter, relief items such as blankets, sleeping mats, jerry cans to carry clean water, and protection services especially for those most vulnerable, such as unaccompanied and separate children, women and older people, who are the vast majority of those fleeing their homes.
If you have any questions about your donation or our work, then please contact us at [email protected], we promise to reply as soon as we can.
