More than 110 million people have been forced to flee war, conflict, and persecution from Ukraine, Sudan, Afghanistan, Yemen, and other parts of the world. 

In many of the places we work, conflicts have been raging for years, fuelled by issues like poverty, corruption, and food insecurity. There are no easy fixes.   

While most refugees and displaced people hope to return home, there is no way of knowing if this will ever be possible. Or what kind of home they would return to.   

Until every person is safe, our work is not finished.

What does UNHCR do?

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization working to save lives, protect rights and build a better future for refugees, internally displaced communities and stateless people. We work to ensure that everybody has the right to seek asylum and find refuge from violence or persecution.

Your money helps UNHCR provide protection, shelter and other forms of assistance, and advocacy on behalf of displaced and stateless people every year.
