UNHCR | Urgent Help Needed for Refugees in Uganda

Uganda hosts more than 1.5 million refugees, the majority from neighbouring South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Local communities who have so little themselves are generously sharing their land, schools, and resources with refugees.

But more refugees fleeing violence are arriving in the country every day, needing relief items and shelter. Both refugees and local communities in Uganda are struggling more than ever before.

Please give what you can.

As the costs of food, fuel, and building materials are increasing globally, our work in Uganda is critically underfunded, meaning that we cannot provide even the most basic of services to those that need our help — putting thousands at risk.

There is so much more to be done to support both refugee and host communities in Uganda who stand in solidarity with those forced to flee. But we cannot do this without your help.
