In Africa, over 24 million people have been forced to flee their homes because of conflict, violence and persecution. Over 76% of them are women and children.
Most walk for weeks and make harrowing journeys to escape violence and find safety.
To honour their journeys and stand in solidarity with them, the LuQuLuQu campaign is organizing the Step for Safety walk.
The Step for Safety walk celebrates the resilience of families forced to flee their homes in Africa and calls on us to show up in great numbers to support them.
We are devoting all of our resources to make sure that no family forced to flee is left to struggle alone, but we can’t do it without your help.
