More than 7 million Venezuelans have left everything behind to seek safety from growing violence, insecurity, a lack of food and medicine, and poverty in their homeland.
Years into this emergency, half of all Venezuelan refugees and migrants in the region cannot afford three meals a day. To buy food or avoid living on the streets, people are being forced to resort to survival sex, begging, and debt.
