UNHCR Philippines | Climate Crisis
The climate crisis is driving displacement and causing stronger and more unpredictable typhoons, flooding, and landslides in the Philippines and across the world.
Severe Tropical Storm Trami (#KristinePH) brought widespread devastation in parts of the Philippines, with over 617,000 individuals still displaced and 9.5 million individuals impacted. More tropical cyclones have since entered or are on track to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility this typhoon season, worsening the already overwhelming challenges for those still struggling to recover.
This Christmas, your donation is a lifeline to families who have lost everything. Please give today.
Together, we can respond with life-saving assistance and help families rebuild their lives. UNHCR Philippines is ramping up its emergency response to affected communities in support of the government-led operations, while continuing to provide technical assistance on protection coordination and information management. We can only do this with your support.
There is no time to waste. Climate change, conflict, poverty, food insecurity, and displacement are increasingly overlapping in emergency hotspots around the world, driving more people to search for safety and security, and multiplying vulnerabilities and threats.
Please help save lives this Christmas season.
