Chad Emergency Appeal - Donate Now - UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency
Thousands of women and children have been forced to flee fresh clashes in West Darfur, Sudan.
They have arrived in Chad exhausted, traumatized and with signs of malnutrition. They urgently need shelter, food and water. Among them are unaccompanied children, who require special care.
We need your help TODAY
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is already on the ground, coordinating this emergency response. We have registered the refugees and distributed life-saving items, such as blankets, sleeping mats and jerry cans. We are now rushing more aid and building a new camp to ensure the refugees have access to appropriate shelter, basic services and protection.

At present, we are severely underfunded with only 4% of the money needed to respond to the needs of refugees in Chad.
