Since the war began in April 2023, more than 10 million people have been forced to flee. Violence is escalating, malnutrition is rampant and medical supplies are running out. Families are desperately seeking safety and protection, both in Sudan and in neighbouring countries such as Chad, South Sudan and Egypt. But resource constraints and lack of access are hampering humanitarian relief efforts.
UNHCR remains on the ground within Sudan and throughout the region, meeting refugees and displaced people after their long journeys and providing them with life-saving relief. As the conflict continues without resolution and the suffering grows, we need your help to scale up our response and meet the rapidly escalating needs.
